Obituary for William J "Bill" Sprenger

William J. “Bill” Sprenger, 82, of Willoughby, received his wings Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021, at Lake Health West Medical Center in Willoughby.
Born Aug. 26, 1938, in Cleveland, he had been a resident of Lake County for more than 50 years.
Bill was a member of St. Justin Martyr Church in Eastlake and proud member of I.B.E.W. Electrician’s Union Local 38. Bill was always willing to help anyone and helped friends who needed help wiring things. “God needed another Angel, so he chose Dad.”
He was a loving father and raised a large family in Willoughby with a Guardian Angel, Jennie B. (Daniel) Marinucci overlooking him. Bill was the cherished grandfather of Lauren, Erin, Taylor, Jacqueline, Alex and Blake; great-grandfather of Lineus and “one-on-the-way”; brother of Lois (Joseph) Sigmund, Coletta Wiley, Joseph (Beth) Sprenger Jr., and Donald (Jean) Sprenger; and uncle of many nieces and nephews, and many fur babies.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph M. and Elizabeth A. (nee Steurzenberger) Sprenger; brother, Ralph (Irene, dec.) Sprenger; and brother-in-law, Dr. Wayne Wiley.
Private family services were held. Burial was in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
