Obituary for William F Lennon
Funeral Mass for William F. Lennon, 76, of Mentor, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
William passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at U.H. Geauga Medical Center in Chardon.
Born Dec. 2, 1944, in Aurora, Ill., he had been a lifetime resident of Lake County.
Mr. Lennon had been a teacher in the Mentor School System, and had also served as guidance counselor. After retirement, he served on the board of the Lake County Board of Tax Revision.
William was a member of the Realtor’s Association and was co-owner of Lennon Realty Inc. He enjoyed reading, History, gardening and landscaping. A selfless, kind-hearted man, Bill devoted himself to God and his family, and made a friend with anyone he met.
He was the cherished brother of Lawrence J. (Louise) Lennon, Jane (Dr. Robert, PhD) Archer, and Kathy (Jerry) Merhar; and uncle of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
William was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence J. and Frances M. (nee St. Jules) Lennon; and nephew, Keith Lennon.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
