Obituary for Vincent Carozza

Funeral Mass for Vincent Carozza, 89, of Naples, Fla., formerly of Lyndhurst, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 2022, at The Church of St. Clare, 5659 Mayfield Road, Lyndhurst. (Family and friends are asked to please meet at church.)
Vincent passed away Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2022, at Physician’s Regional Health Care in Naples, Fla.
Born Sept. 6, 1933, in Cleveland, he had lived in Lyndhurst for more than 30 years.
Mr. Carozza was a retired Cleveland Fireman.
He was a former member of The Church of St. Clare in Lyndhurst, a member of Knights of Columbus Gilmour Council, loved golf and enjoyed wood whittling. After his retirement, he worked as a golf starter at the Kensington Country Club in Naples, Fla., and was a “well known staple there” for more than 25 years.
Vincent was the loving father of Christine C. (Bob) Carroll, Donna M. (Pat) Flowers, Carrie A. Brett and Sally A. (Rich) Holzheimer; cherished grandfather of 11; great-grandfather of 13; dear brother of Mary Leta and Vonnie Tripodo; and uncle of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Irene R. (nee Sotka) Carozza; son, James Carozza; parents, Vincenzo and Mary (nee Penniti) Carozza; siblings, Chris (Marie Ann, dec.) Carozza and John Carozza; and brothers-in-law, Joe Tripodo and Tony Leta.
Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
