Obituary for Tony Ranallo

Funeral Mass for Tony Ranallo, 91, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
Tony peacefully passed away Feb. 2, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was a lifelong resident of the city of Willoughby.
Tony was a giant in the construction industry, a humble, self-made man, who rose to the pinnacle of his profession and was known and respected by all. Tough but fair, Tony was a relentless perfectionist and a demanding taskmaster who insisted that people give their very best at all times. In return, everyone touched by Tony will tell you he made them better.
Tony is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Josephine “Jo” Ranallo; sons, Robert A. Ranallo (Sheila) and James W. Ranallo (Janet); grandchildren, Lauren Ranallo and Amy Siebenkittel (Sean), James W. Ranallo Jr., Nicholas Ranallo, and Robert Ranallo; great-grandson, Maximilian “Max” Siebenkittel; sisters, Pauline Mastrangelo (Delfino, dec.), and Anna Ranallo; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Madeline Paratore; sister-in-law, Elena DePaola; special friend and surrogate son, Adelbert P. “Chip” Marous Jr.; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
Tony was preceded in death by his most cherished daughter, JoAnne Ranallo; parents, Charles and Luigia Ranallo; siblings, Antoinette Tirabasso (Daniel), Angelina Ranallo, and Baby Boy Ranallo; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Nick and Rose DePaola; and brother-in-law, Les DePaola.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will follow the Mass in Willoughby Cemetery.
The family suggests donations in his name to the Immaculate Conception Church Endowment Fund, 37935 Euclid Ave., Willoughby, OH 44094.
