Susan (nee Resetic) Long Bencina, 75, of Euclid, passed away Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022, at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights.
Born Jan. 25, 1947, in Cleveland, she had been a resident of Euclid for 28 years.
Susan was a member of the Andover Eagles and the Euclid Senior Center. She liked going to casinos, enjoyed long drives and seeing the leaves change colors in the fall.
She was the beloved wife of 33 years to William E. Bencina; loving mother of Thomas S. Ford, Christina M. Jablonski (Everett Caseblot Sr.), and Jason S. Long; cherished grandmother of Stacie (Ben) Horton, Justin Long, Tarra Jablonski and Richard Yauger; great-grandmother of Isabella, Avery and Arianna; stepmother of Theresa Ann Yauger; sister of Mary Jo (Frank) Holmes; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Mary Alice (nee Baker) Resetic; and stepson-in-law, Bill Yauger.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby, with a Celebration of Life service at 5:30 p.m. Pastor Donald Beaumont will officiate.
