Scott Alan Bealko
Scott Alan Bealko, 55, of Mentor-on-the-Lake, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2020.
He was born April 15, 1965, in Cleveland, and had been a resident of Lake County for 30 years.
Scott worked his way through mechanic school and enjoyed working on cars. He worked for Verizon, ProCell, and then ran his own businesses. Scott furthered his education and worked as a CT & XR technician at TriPoint.
He was the lead singer in a rock band, The Sorcerer’s. He loved motorcycles, Dunkin Donuts, shopping, collecting art from local artists, sports, watching his grandkids play soccer, and spending time with family and friends. He was also known to be chatty and prevent his wife from completing her homework! Scott was a kind soul who always liked to pay it forward, believed in random acts of kindness and was always doing things to help others.
Scott was the loving husband of 15 years to Diana Payne-Bealko (nee Stillisano); father of Meggen (Christian) Platzar, John (Alene) Payne, Shannon (Sonny Smith) Payne, Tony Payne and Ellie Payne; beloved son of Janet Bealko (nee Manning); brother of Steven “Butch” (Julie), and Bill (Colleen); grandfather of Bailey, Cora, Ava, Kelvin, Keegan, Johnny, Alene Mary, Katie, Jerry and Meredith; uncle of Chris, Brian, Jaquelyn, Stephanie, Amanda, Miranda, Scotty, Brandy, Erica and Joe; great-uncle of Gracie and Cooper; brother-in-law of Gina (Jeff) Richards. His fur-babies were Biscotti, Pizzelle, Cappuccino and Latte; and was the beloved friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his father, Steve Bealko; and sister, Laura Bishop.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2020, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby, with a Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, 2020, at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 7395 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor. Burial will be private.
