Obituary for Sandra M Campbell
Sandra M. (nee McClendon) Campbell, 66, of Mentor, passed away peacefully Aug. 20, 2022, at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Township in the company of loved ones.
Born July 23, 1956, in Cleveland, she returned to Ohio for the last seven years from Alabama to be closer to family.
Sandra retired as a manager at Wal-Mart after having served over 20 years. Sandra was a member and foster mom to many "fur babies" with Little Yorkie Rescue, where she helped foster seven Yorkies, keeping three permanently in addition to providing a loving home to many other various breed rescue dogs over the years.
Sandi loved the beach and loved to collect beach glass. She enjoyed making crafts and jewelry with the beautiful glass and stones she found. She also made crafts for holidays and fun. Family was everything to Sandi and she generously opened her home for visits or celebrations at every opportunity. Sandi loved family gatherings and often cooked meals to share.
Sandi is survived by her husband, Cecil Lee Campbell; two of her "fur babies”; sister, Debra “Debbie” (Douglas) Stefko; brothers, Robert (Brenda) McClendon, Paul (Gina) McClendon, Martin McClendon, Steven (Shuomei) McClendon and Timothy McClendon; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents, Travis and Elizabeth "Libby" (nee Terembes) McClendon.
She will be loved and missed always.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
