Obituary for Ronald E Rommel

Ronald E. Rommel, 83, of Mentor, passed away Monday, Nov. 16, 2020, at Lake Health West Medical Center in Willoughby.
Born Feb. 14, 1937, in Cleveland, he had been a resident of Lake County for the past 45 years.
Ron was a U.S. Army veteran and member of St. John Vianney Church in Mentor. He was an avid sports fan, a great Cleveland Indians, Browns and Cavaliers fan, enjoyed cooking and golf, and loved being with his family, especially his wife.
Mr. Rommel was a retired employee of Reliance Electric/Rockwell Automation, with 30 years of service.
Ron was the beloved husband of 59 years to Charlotte V. (nee Zola) Rommel; loving father of Craig M. Rommel and Lee M. (Zar) Rommel; dear brother of Marianne Cathis; and uncle of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Helen (nee Pristoff) Rommel; sister, Dorothy (Charles, dec.) Dixon; and brother-in-law, Doug Cathis.

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
