Obituary for Ronald M "Ronnie" Canale
Ronald M. “Ronnie” Canale, 64, of Willoughby, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023, at his home.
Born March 26, 1958, in Euclid, he had been a longtime resident of Lake County and a former resident of Plattsburgh, N.Y.
He was a 1976 graduate of Willoughby South High School, was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, loved the water, was a talented inventor and had an entrepreneurial spirit as a small business owner. Ronnie was a proud father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Ronnie was the dear father of Lauren (Keith) Cohen of Strongsville, Anthony Canale (Cindy Jeric) of Madison and Jill Canale (Chris Tichy) of Richmond Heights; beloved longtime companion of Robin Hajes; cherished grandfather of Kaydence, Landon, Dylan, Anthony, Julianna and Isaiah; son of Raymond Canale; dear brother of Colleen F. (Richard) Canale-Reilly, Raymond L. (Kathy) Canale, Mary I. (S.J.) Canale-Sander, Joanne (Dusty) Rhodes, Dennis Simmers, and Michelle (nee Canale) Mangano; brother-in-law of Lynn M. Canale; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sally Theresa (nee Reardon) Canale; stepmother, Patricia (nee Bosco) Canale; and brother, Edward R. Canale.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes), in Willoughby, with a Celebration of Life at 6:30 p.m.
