Obituary for Ronald A Burkhart
Ronald A. Burkhart, 67, of Mentor, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at his residence.
Born Feb. 9, 1953, in Euclid, he had been a lifetime resident of Lake County.
Ron was a retired 30-year employee of TRW, where he had worked as a machinist. He had also worked at Swagelok.
He loved fishing, hunting and the outdoors. Ron also enjoyed watching football with his son and spending time with his family. He took great pride in his yard and several days a week you would catch him riding his tractor. Throughout his life, Ron had many pets whom he loved dearly. He will be remembered for his infectious smile, that everyone loved. “We will love and miss him forever.”
Ron was the beloved husband of 48 years to Linda L. (nee Koontz) Burkhart; loving father of Kimberly L. (Bob) Ristimaki, Tracy C. (Dave) Stanek and Adam J. (Danielle) Burkhart; cherished grandfather of Zach, Dominic, Sadie, Paige, Xander and Sawyer; and brother of four.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Lucy (nee Scipione) Burkhart.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 7 PM Monday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), in Mentor, where a funeral service will be conducted at 6:30 PM.
