Obituary for Rod J Dooley
Rod J. Dooley, 62, of Eastlake, passed away Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021, at UH Geauga Medical Center in Chardon.
Born Nov. 6, 1958, in Cleveland, he had been a lifetime Lake County resident.
Rod enjoyed fishing and was an avid Cleveland sports fan. He loved the Cleveland Browns.
He was the beloved husband of 20 years to Shelly (nee Harpold) Dooley; loving father of Troy Dooley and Tacy (Alan) Ward; stepfather of Jeremy Meadows and Aaron Meadows; cherished grandfather of Haley, McKayla, Hayden, Antonio, J.J., A.J., and Camden; son of Betty Behnke; brother of Rick (Theresa) Dooley, Carole Vaccariello (Don Lewis), and Mike (Jennifer) Dooley; and uncle of nieces and nephews.
Rod was preceded in death by his father, Roy Dooley; and stepfather, Ted Behnke.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
