Obituary for Robert C Gridley
Robert Charles Gridley, 78, of North Ft. Myers, Fla., passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at his son’s residence in Madison.
Born Feb. 16, 1944, in Painesville, he had been a resident of Lake County before retiring to Florida.
Robert was a graduate of Riverside High School in Painesville and loved everything about cars!
Mr. Gridley had worked as a body shop manager for more than 40 years at Village Dodge in Painesville before his retirement.
Robert was the beloved husband of Sandra M. (nee Waterwash) Gridley; loving father of Michael Gridley and Robert Gridley; cherished grandfather of Dylan and Kalyn Gridley; and the dear brother of Sharla Gradolph.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert J. and Hazel E. (nee Thompson) Gridley; and sister, Marcia Price.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), in Mentor, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday. Burial will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery in Painesville.
