Obituary for Robert William Chappel
Robert William “Bob” Chappel, 73, of Chesterland, passed away Sunday, Aug. 21, 2022, at The Weils at Chagrin Falls.
Born May 6, 1949, in Meadville, Pa., he had lived in Mentor before moving to Geauga County four years ago.
Bob was a member of NABET as a longtime member of Fox 8 in Cleveland.
He was the loving husband of Leslie A. (nee Jacobs) Chappel; loving father of Kristen D. Strebler of Chesterland and Robert T. Chappel of Mansfield; cherished grandfather of Cora, Marcus and Nathaniel Strebler; and brother of Regina (Elmer) Lesuer of McKean, Pa., and Sylvia (Robert) McKee of Henderson, Nev.
A Celebration of Life service will be 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022, at Painesville Church of the Brethren, 10410 Buckeye Road, Painesville. Pastors Mike Conner and Jim Sutton will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to NEO Sheltie Rescue, 7028 Newton Falls Road, Ravenna, OH 44266.
