Obituary for Richard J Dacar
Richard J. Dacar, 78, of Concord Township, passed away Monday, April 4, 2022, at University Hospital in Cleveland.
Born April 28, 1943, in Euclid, he had lived in Euclid and then moved to Lake County for 53 years ago, living in Mentor before moving to Concord Township.
Richard loved coaching for the Mentor Youth Baseball, was an avid Buckeyes fan, loved golf, walking on the beach and supporting his kids and grandkids in all of their pursuits.
Mr. Dacar had worked at General Motors for 35 years prior to his retirement.
Richard was the beloved husband of Peggy (nee Bizzarri) Dacar; loving father of Christie “Chris” (Mike) Partlow; father-in-law of Meghan (nee Cook) Dacar; cherished grandfather of Emily (Quentin) Hollar, Mary Fultz, Robert Fultz, Mark Dacar, Jared Dacar, Isabella Vaccaro, Chloe Partlow, Charlie Partlow and Maggie Dacar; great-grandfather of Addilyn Hollar; and dear brother of Ray and Bob.
He was preceded in death by his son, Anthony “Tony” Dacar; and parents, Christian and Stephenia (nee Marincic) Dacar.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 10, at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby.
