Paul David Kahler, 80, of Mentor, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2022, at UH Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby.
Born Sept. 22, 1941, in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., he had been a resident of Lake County for 57 years, living in Eastlake before moving to Mentor.
Paul was a huge Cleveland Indians baseball fan and enjoyed golf, softball and bowling.
He was the beloved husband of 39 years to Margaret Joan (nee Hudkins) Kahler; loving father of Scott D. Kahler, Daniel P. (Jenny) Kahler, Desiree L. (David) Parisi, Deidre L. Kinsey and Danielle L. (Robert) Klonk; cherished grandfather of Alyssa (A.J.) Moore, Ashli Kahler, Zachary Parisi, J.R. Klonk, Jonah Kahler, Jordan Parisi, Gianna Klonk, Derek Kahler, Sydney Schultz, Paige Stanley and Payton Stanley; great-grandfather of Colt; dear brother of James Kahler, Sandy Cohee and Camille Savaltori; and uncle of nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Paul H. and Mary Alice (nee Kelley) Kahler; and stepmother, Miriam (nee Shook) Kahler.
Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), in Mentor, with a Celebration of Life at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will follow at Mentor Cemetery.
