Obituary for Patrick J Duffy
Funeral Mass for Patrick J. Duffy, 93, of Mentor, will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Father Michael Troha will officiate. Due to Covid-19, the wearing of masks and social distancing are required. (Family and friends are to meet at church.)
Mr. Duffy passed away Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021, at Mentor Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Nov. 9, 1927, in Cleveland, he had been a resident of Lake County for 67 years, living in Willoughby before moving to Mentor.
Patrick was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War and was a retired Lieutenant of the South Euclid Police Department. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend to many.
He was the loving father of Patrick, Bill (Susan), and Eileen; cherished grandfather of Tim (Kelly), Brian (Caity), Shannon and Krista; great-grandfather of Maeve, Bridey, Charlie and Finn; brother-in-law of Sr. Justina Heneghan, RSM; uncle and great-uncle of many.
Patrick was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary C. (nee Heneghan) Duffy; parents, Patrick T. and Marie T. (nee Brock) Duffy; and sister, Mary T. (Frank) Giblon.
Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
