Obituary for Patricia A Sczypta
Patricia A. (nee Moore) Sczypta, 82, of Mentor, passed away Sunday, Nov. 15, 2020, at Madison Healthcare Center in Madison.
Born Oct. 28, 1938, in Uniontown, Pa., she had been a resident of Lake County for the past 53 years.
Patricia loved working in her yard, enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, listening to music and by far being with and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was the loving mother of Susan L. (Ken) Pananen and Frank M. Sczypta Jr.; cherished grandmother of Frank M. Sczypta, Amanda M. (Joshua) McDaniel, Bobby M. (Nikki) Weber, and Matt Sczypta; great-grandmother of Nevaeh and Bryce; step great-grandmother of Dakota, Dylan and Devyn; sister of Christine (Fred) Evans; sister-in-law of Nancy Moore; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Francis M. “Frank” Sczypta; son, Matthew A. Sczypta; parents, Homer and Thelma (nee Haught) Moore; stepfather, Matt Croftcheck; and siblings, Donald Moore, Betty Lou Bruschi, Richard (Donna) Moore, Thomas (Betts) Moore, and Nancy (Bill) Smith.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), in Mentor, with a Celebration of Life service at 4:30 p.m. Burial will be in Mentor Cemetery.
