Nathan A. Opatrny, 17, of Madison, passed away Sept. 11, 2020, in Madison Township.
Born March 23, 2003, in Painesville, he had been a lifetime Lake County resident.
Nathan was a senior at Madison High School, loved four-wheeling and fishing. He was also a great athlete and enjoyed basketball and football.
He was the beloved son of Patrick J. (Lisa) Opatrny and Lorie A. Hill (Scott Buckholtz); dear brother of Patrick J. Opatrny Jr., Matthew N. Opatrny, Lucas M. Opatrny, Elizabeth H. Smith, Ciera D. Smith, Landon R. Opatrny, David Buckholtz, and Isaac N. Opatrny; cherished grandson of Patrick M. Opatrny, Char Goryance, James Hill and Tina Blivens; and the nephew, cousin and friend of many.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), in Mentor, with a Prayer Service to be conducted at 7:30 p.m.Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at Mentor Cemetery, 6881 Hopkins Road, Mentor. (Family and friends are asked to please meet at the cemetery.)
