Obituary for Mildred C Kalich
Funeral Mass for Mildred C. (nee Kasunic) Kalich, 94, of Willoughby, will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 30, 2021, at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 32114 Vine St., Willowick. (Family and friends are asked to please meet at church.) Father Steve Breck will officiate.
Mildred passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at the Enclave of Newell Creek in Mentor. Mildred is once again reunited with her husband of 49 years, Paul J. Kalich, who died in 1997.
She was born Dec. 31, 1926, in Cleveland, to the late George and Mary (nee Yovich) Kasunic.
Mildred was a graduate of Collinwood High School. She enjoyed golf, travel, spending time with family and friends, and was a member of Madison Country Club, CFU Croatian Lodge 99, and Holmes Avenue Pensioners Club.
She was the loving mother of Rayford P. (Veronica) Kalich, Roberta A. Kalich-Paley, and Rebecca C. (James) Gephart; cherished grandmother of Natalie Kalich (Steve Yonkof), Nicholas (Jessica) Kalich, and Aaron Paley; sister of Barbara Donahue, Gerald (Gail) Kasunic, Marianne (Ed) McConoughey; sister-in-law of Patricia Kasunic; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Paul; siblings, George (Betty, dec.) Kasunic Jr., Carl (Mary, dec.) Kasunic, Joanna (Frank, dec.) Sikich, Daniel Kasunic, and Robert Kasunic; and brother-in-law, James Donahue.
Mildred’s family would like to thank the staff at the Enclave of Newell Creek and Elara Caring Hospice for their dedicated care and support.
