Obituary for Mildred Ester Davis
Funeral Mass for Mildred Ester Davis, 88, of Wickliffe, will be 12 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2023, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 29850 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe.
Mildred passed away Monday, March 20, 2023, at The Cleveland Clinic.
Born Dec. 8, 1934, in Cleveland, she had been a lifetime resident of Lake County.
Mildred was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Wickliffe and a Willoughby Senior Center.
She was the loving mother of Emerson W. (Pamela) Davis III, Kathleen A. Lowrie and Joseph A. (Shawn) Davis; cherished grandmother of Emerson, Danielle, Michelle, Emily, Michael, Stephanie and Steven; great-grandmother of many; and aunt of Dawn Dickinson. She also leaves her loyal companion and significant other, Herb Shubick.
Mildred was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Emerson W. Davis Jr.; dear son, Daniel K. Davis; son-in-law, Michael Lowrie; parents, James and Catherine (nee Hopkins) Thatcher; and sister, Rita LaForce.
Family will receive friends from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will follow the Mass at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
