Obituary for Mary F Cappadonna
Funeral Mass for Mary F. (nee Hartley) Cappadonna, 81, of Willoughby, will be 12 noon Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
Mary passed away Monday, Feb. 28, 2022, at Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland.
Born Dec. 25, 1940, in Lenoir, N.C., she had been a resident of Lake County for more than 60 years, living in Wickliffe before moving to Willoughby.
Mary and her husband, Biagio founded Biagio’s Donut Shop and Pizzeria in Eastlake in 1963.
Mary was the loving mother of Joseph S. (Rebecca) Cappadonna and Laura A. (Leonard) Freiberg; cherished grandmother of Steven Freiberg (fiancée, Taylor Zdanowicz), Michael Freiberg and Cortney (Dustin) Paterniti; great-grandmother of Sawyer and Hendryx; sister of Moffit “Buddy” Hartley; sister-in-law and dear friend of Jeannette Cappadonna; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Biagio Cappadonna in 2016; parents, Moffit and Frances (nee McMillian) Hartley; sister, Dorothy Farley; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Salvatore and Rose Cappadonna; and brother-in-law, Tony Cappadonna.
Family will receive friends from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Entombment will be in Knollwood Cemetery in Mayfield Heights.
