Funeral Mass for Marilyn J. (nee Johnson) Oddis, 91, of Willoughby, will be 10 a.m. Monday, April 17, at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
Marilyn passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Haven Home Assisted Living in Mentor.
Born Jan. 7, 1932, in Flint, Mich., she had been a lifetime resident of Willoughby.
Marilyn was a lifetime member of Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby, where she was active in the Legion of Mary, was a Eucharistic Minister, member of the choir and involved with the 24 Hour Chapel. She was also a volunteer at Lake West Medical Center and Manor Care both in Willoughby, a member of the Red Hat Society, and loved her kitty, Kelby.
She was the loving mother of James P. (Mary Beth) Oddis Jr., Jennifer C. (Edward) Lloyd, Matthew J. (Kim) Oddis, Melynda C. DeMore, and Julie A. Oddis; cherished grandmother of Joshua (Tina), Jeremiah (CC), Justin (Ashleigh), Johannah (Luke), Jesse (Andrew), Jacob, Noah, Chelsea, Erin, Mackenzie, Jordan, Nathan and Austin; great-grandmother of Isabella, Lotus, Joshua James, Stauffer, Lynden, Rowan, Leera, Elyana, Leia, Theron, Zurijah, Satchel, Sophia, Harleigh, Gideon, Drewsy and Isla Joy; dear sister of Christopher Johnson and Christina Doman; sister-in-law of Roberta Johnson; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James P. Oddis, D.D.S. in 2011; granddaughter, Jenna; great-granddaughter, Faith; parents, Harry E. and Christine F. (nee Mack) Johnson; siblings, Angus Johnson, Roderick Johnson, Gregory (Mary Jane, dec.) Johnson, Gerald (Ellen, dec.) Johnson, Harold “Harry” Johnson and twin sister Catherine (Jim, dec.) Niles; sister-in-law, Maureen Johnson; and brother-in-law, John Doman.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will follow the Mass at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
