Funeral services for Lloyd V. Mapes Jr., 56, of Wickliffe, will be 11 am. Thursday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. The Rev. Troy Elam will officiate. Mr. Mapes passed away Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at his home. Born March 22, 1957, in Cleveland, he had been a lifetime Lake County resident. He loved NASCAR racing and the Cleveland Browns. He was the beloved son of Dora M. (nee Baus) Mapes; and loving brother of Sharon J. Quinn of Willoughby, Bonnie L. (Bruce) Anderson of Ashtabula and Rebecca K. (Alan) Jahnke of Mentor. He was also an uncle and great-uncle. He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd V. Mapes Sr.; and brother, Allen F. Gill. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
