Funeral Mass for Kenneth Robinson, 66, of Mentor, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2023, at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 9114 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor. Father Tim Plavac will officiate. (Family and friends are asked to meet at church.)
Kenneth passed away Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023, at The Cleveland Clinic.
He was born Jan. 10, 1957, in Cleveland, had been a Lake County resident of 59 years, living in Willowick before moving to Mentor in 1984.
Kenneth married his high school sweetheart in July of 1981. They were best friends and soulmates, doing everything together while raising two wonderful sons. He enjoyed hosting his famous fish fries, playing Blackjack at Presque Isle Downs and Casino, and going to Eddies Grill in Geneva-on-the-Lake. A true Cleveland sports fan of the Browns, Indians and Cavaliers. He was a diehard football fan as evidenced by his license plate “FBXPRT.”
He enjoyed his Harley Davidsons, boating on Lake Erie and his beautiful C-7 Corvette. He also loved his music, especially the Beatles. But most importantly, he loved spending time with his family. They were his heart and soul.
Kenneth was the beloved husband of Charlene (nee Lavrich) Robinson; loving father of Joseph (Candyce Balog), and Brian (Rachel); dear son of Anita (nee Moore) Robinson; cherished brother of Marcella Shields and David Robinson; son-in-law of Joan (Dennis) Lavrich Ross; brother-in-law of Joan (Donald) Volk and Paul (Cheryl) Lavrich; daughter, Jennifer Ingram; and many nieces, nephews, uncles, cousins and friends. He also leaves his granddogs, Winston and Dexter.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Robinson; siblings, Danny Robinson and Theresa Gabor; father-in-law, Charles Lavrich; and nephew, Andrew Gabor.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 3, at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
