Obituary for Karen Manning-Farroni
Funeral Mass for Karen Manning-Farroni, 58, of Fairport Harbor, will be 12 noon Thursday at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 9114 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor. Father Tim Plavac will officiate.
Karen passed away Friday, Feb. 5, 2021, at Lake Health West Medical Center in Willoughby.
Born March 18, 1962, in Cleveland, she had been a lifetime resident of Lake County, living in Willowick and Mentor before moving to Fairport Harbor.
Karen was a member of St. Bede the Venerable Church in Mentor, where she had served as a Eucharistic Minister and a former member of St. Mary Magdalene Church in Willowick.
She was a Lake Catholic and Lakeland Community College graduate. She had worked for the Society of Rehabilitation in Mentor for 12 years and was a paralegal for the Manning and Manning Law Firm, LLC. Besides working, she loved crafting and sewing personal gifts for family and friends.
Karen was the beloved wife of 36 years to William P. Farroni; loving mom of Justine M. (Steven) Washock; cherished grandmother of Christopher, Kaylein and Nathaniel; dearest daughter of Carol L. (nee Mezera) Manning; daughter-in-law of Agnes M. (nee Kuhar) Farroni; sister of Kathryn I. Manning, Brenda A. (Russ) Wichert, Peggy Manning, Donald J. (Lara) Manning Jr., and Michael P. Manning; cherished niece of George (Donna) Mezera, Timothy Mezera, Rita Manning, Kathleen Manning, Rosemary Manning, Coletta (John) DiCello, Patricia Manning; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald J. Manning Sr.; father-in-law, Benedict R. Farroni; aunts and uncles, Mary Smith, Ruth Mezera, Gene Manning, Jeannette Manning, Ruth Manning, Frank Manning, Richard Manning, Mary Ellen Friend, Donald and Patricia Hughes; cousins, Christopher and Shane Hughes; and brother-in-law, Michael R. Farroni.
Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Thursday at the church prior to the Mass. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
