Obituary for John "Johnny" Rowe

John "Johnny" Rowe, 52, of Concord, passed away Aug. 27, 2022.
He was born March 6, 1970.
Johnny’s strength, loving heart and smile was present in everything he did. He cared for his family and it showed when he taught his brother the trade of carpentry and when he lent his arms to teach his sister to dance. He was protective during hard times and offered his hand to lift us up when we needed his strength. John loved his stepson, Nick and was so proud of his accomplishments. He felt blessed to play a role in helping Nick become the man he is today.
The outdoors was Johnny’s haven as well as spending time with family. He loved camping, play cards, not to mention the game of golf or simply listening to music with his girlfriend at the outdoor concerts. Johnny will be missed but his imprint will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
John was preceded in death by his mother, Davina Rowe.
He is survived by girlfriend, Melissa Stevens; stepson, Nicholas Surckla; sister, Casey (Dave) Lytle; brother, Brad Rowe; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.
The family will have a Celebration of Life for John, welcoming friends and family from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, with a balloon release following at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
