Obituary for John A Lebowitz
John A. Lebowitz, 71, of Willoughby, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Township.
Born Oct. 18, 1951, in Painesville, he had been a lifetime resident of Lake County.
John was a graduate of Willoughby South High School. He enjoyed reading, watching old movies, and riding motorcycles. He was best known for his wit and sense of humor.
Mr. Lebowitz was employed for many years as a quality assurance manager for the steel industry.
John was the loving husband of Maggie (nee Hammond) Lebowitz; devoted brother of Linda Lebowitz, Sally Lebowitz, Alison Lebowitz and Michael (Cheryl) Lebowitz; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Edward W. and Alice Marjorie (nee Anderson) Lebowitz; brother, Edward W. Lebowitz Jr.; and sister, Cheryl Goerndt.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 16, at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Avenue (located on the grounds of the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home) in Willoughby, with a Memorial service at 4 p.m. Virginia Joyce will officiate.
