Obituary for John J Kovach III
John J. Kovach III, age 82, of Eastlake, passed away Jan. 26, 2021, at David Simpson Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
He was born Sept. 13, 1938, in Cleveland.
John was a skilled carpenter and craftsman, who above all else loved his family. He enjoyed the outdoors, a good fire, telling a great story, camping and canoeing with his kids and grandkids.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Barbe, the love of his life and best friend; as well as his parents, John J. II and Irene (nee Kranyak) Kovach.
John was the much loved father of John (Kathleen), Barb (Steven) Stokes and Jeff (Connie); cherished grandfather of John, Eli, Karli, Steven, Miles, McKenzie, Tyrus, Carson and Carter; great-grandfather of John, Koda, Thea, Karmen, Cash and Eliza; brother of Eleanor and Francis; uncle to many; friend and brother-in-law of Ted and Ronnie.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a memorial gathering will be held at a later date. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Western of Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110.
