Obituary for Joanne M Unetich
Funeral Mass for Joanne M. (nee Cardilli) Unetich, 81, of Eastlake, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Father Michael Troha will officiate the Mass.
Joanne passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at Lantern of Saybrook in Ashtabula.
She was born June 2, 1940, in Carmichaels, Pa.
Joanne was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby and the Isabella Guild of Willoughby Knights of Columbus Council 2886, was named May Queen in 1956 of St. Mary’s in Crucible, Pa., and Carmichaels Coal Queen, and was a graduate of Cumberland Township High School. She loved bowling, enjoyed every moment spent with her family and grandchildren, and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Joanne was the loving mother of Michael Unetich III, Mark (Laurie) Unetich, Karlyn Nason, Kristen (Bill) Vidmar and Matthew (Pennie) Unetich; cherished grandmother of Peter (Renee), Brittany (Tom), Shawn (LeeAnn), Christine (Ivan), Amanda (Forrest), Richard (Briana), Lauren (John), Danielle (Jacob), Kaitlyn, Michael and Nicholas; and great-grandmother of Peter, Jacob, Mya, Genevieve, Kennedy, Archer and one-on-the-way.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael M. Unetich Jr. in 1997; and daughter, Kimberly Unetich-Paparizos.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
