"Together Again"
Joan S. (nee Osburn) Evans, 85, of Mentor, passed away Monday, May 9, 2022, at Enclave of Newell Creek, 7900 Center St., Mentor.
She was born May 26, 1936, in Cleveland.
Joan was a member of the Euclid Ski Club and Cleveland Metro Ski Council. She was also a member of the Mentor Senior Center, where she enjoyed chair aerobics was on the cleaning committee, and a member of the Church of Epiphany, where she participated in the adult choir and Lay readings. Joan enjoyed skiing, golf, gardening and most of all spending time with her family.
Joan was the loving mother of Leigh A. Garam, Lynn M. (Douglas) Hutchings and Lorraine S. “Lori” (Peter) Sprockhoff; cherished grandmother of Mike (Tiffany), Rosie (Ben), Chris (Diane), Kyle (Ashley), Tyler and Brett (Tara); and great-grandmother of Madison, James, Hayden, Harper, Maria, Lainey, Felix, and Leo.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lloyd T. “Tom” Evans in 2018; and parents, Gordon and Helen (nee Eddy) Osburn.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), in Mentor, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday. Burial will follow the service at Mentor Cemetery.
