Obituary for James David Syroney

Funeral Mass for James David Syroney, 50, of Hambden Township, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021, at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Road in Mentor. Fr. Tom Johns will officiate.
James passed away Friday, Jan. 22, 2021, at his residence.
He was born May 5, 1970, in Euclid.
James was employed as a professional truck driver.
James had an extreme love of horses and had worked at Thistledown Race Track as an exercise rider, assistant trainer and transported race horses around the country. He shared his love of horses with his dearest friend and partner, Daneen Page.
He also enjoyed bowling, loved working outdoors, country dancing and cooking on the grill.
James was the beloved son of Margaret M. (nee Szalwinski) Syroney; loving brother of Ann M. (John) McGrath, Mary Beth (Ron) Stewart, Catherine I. (René) Aschwanden and Joseph C. Syroney; and uncle of Erin M. (Crist) Weaver, Taylor J. McGrath, Hunter J. McGrath and Grace Aschwanden.
He was preceded in death by his father, Conrad S. Syroney.
Family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, prior to the Mass at St. John Vianney Church. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery at a later date.
