Obituary for James T Snider
James T. Snider, 73, of Kirtland, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at Briar Hill in Middlefield.
Born May 23, 1948, in Painesville, he had been a resident of Lake County for more than 73 years.
James was a U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran and a recipient of two Purple Hearts. He was also an animal lover, a motorcycle enthusiast, and enjoyed gardening including flowers and veggies. Most of all, his favorite times were spent being around his family.
Mr. Snider had been employed at Universal Metal Products.
He was the loving father of Timothy (Tina) Snider of Willoughby, Nicholas Snider of Kirtland, Deirdre (nee Snider) Peters (Brian Young) of Mentor, and Pedro Rodriguez of Willoughby; cherished grandfather of Nicole M. Peters, James K. (Carley) Peters and Katie Fedak; dear brother of Robert (Norma Jean) Snider and Richard Snider; and uncle of many.
James was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Karen E. Snider; parents, Raymond J. and Edna (nee Wallis) Snider; siblings, Virginia Darnell, Glen Snider, Donald Earl Snider and Barbara Jean Snider; and sister-in-law, Jane Snider.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 15, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby, where a funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, May 16. Burial will follow the service at Willoughby Memorial Gardens.
