Obituary for Hilda Peter
Funeral Mass for Hilda (nee Ruppe) Peter, 92, of Willoughby Hills, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Father Michael Troha will officiate.
Hilda passed away Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021, at Heartland of Mentor.
She was born Oct. 18, 1928, in Gottschee (present day Slovenia).
Hilda was a member of St. Noel Church in Willoughby Hills, a former member of Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby, and a member and former officer of the E.O.U.V. Austrian Club Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting, crocheting and canning vegetables.
She was the loving mother of Konrad J. (Lisa) Peter; cherished “Oma” of Stephanie and Christopher; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Hilda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Konrad Peter in 2008; parents, Joseph and Julia (nee Kobe) Ruppe; and siblings, Ernest (Maria) Ruppe, Albert (Gertrude) Ruppe, Josef Ruppe, Richard Ruppe, Walter (Rose) Ruppe, Frieda (John) Kramer, Hans Ruppe, and Herbert (Waltraud) Ruppe.
Family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
