Obituary for Harry W Rice

“Together Again”
Harry W. Rice, 88, of Mentor-on-the-Lake, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at Mentor Ridge Assisted Living in Mentor.
Born July 10, 1933, in Cincinnati, he had been a resident of Lake County for 12 years, living in Madison before moving to Mentor-on-the-Lake.
Harry was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War and a member of the V.F.W. in Cincinnati. He was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed woodworking, word puzzles and bowling.
Mr. Rice had worked as a landscape supervisor at Kings Island in Cincinnati.
Harry was the loving father of John A. (Christine) Rice Sr.; cherished grandfather of Christopher Rice (Shelby Watters), Jacqueline (Michael) Strotman, Jacob Rice, John A. “JJ” Rice Jr., Cassie Rice, Becky (Rick) Meister and Rachel (Cyle) Hesser; great-grandfather of Shyla, Easton, Bella, Aubrey and Mikey; dearest brother-in-law of Bernnie (Susan) Lambert; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Audrey Diane (nee Lambert) Rice in 2010; and parents, Charles and Marcella (nee Basham) Rice.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Contributions may be made in care of the family.
