Obituary for Harriet A Gournic
Harriet A. (nee Waters) Gournic, 84, of Willoughby, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021, at Lake Health West Medical Center in Willoughby.
Born Dec. 10, 1936, in Cleveland, she had lived in South Padre Island, Texas and Conneaut before moving to Lake County four years ago.
Harriet enjoyed fishing, cooking, dancing, traveling and sewing. She loved her family and was the ultimate mom, grandma and great-grandma.
She was the loving mother of Vicki L. (Jack) Milligan, Sharon D. (Mike) Czeck, and Robert W. Donikowski; stepmother of Dennis Gournic; cherished grandmother of Matthew Milligan (Alicia Detwiler) , Amanda (Andrew) Busch, Adam Donikowski (Mark Wintermyer), Joshua (Caroline) Donikowski and Chelsea Donikowski (Daniella Pomomarenko); and great-grandmother of Zoey, Zaylee and Zyla.
Harriet was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Gournic; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Donikowski; father, Herbert Waters; mother, Estelle M. (nee Washner) Green; and stepfather, Harvey Joseph Green.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
