Obituary for Gerald L. "Gerry" Davis
Gerald L. “Gerry” Davis, 67, of Mentor-on-the-Lake, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at UH TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Township.
Born Aug. 31, 1954, in Cleveland, he had been a resident of Lake County for 62 years.
Gerry loved cars, music, walks and watching sunrises and sunsets.
Mr. Davis retired from the grocery business after 35 years, having worked at Topps, Finast and Pick-n-Pay. He had also worked for the State of Ohio E-Check in Chardon after retirement.
Gerry was the loving father of Jamie L. (Ryan) Smith; twin brother of Gene Davis of Mentor-on-the-Lake; brother of Curtis (Shari) Davis of Alpena, Mich., and Paul (Joyce) Davis of Florida; former husband of Susie (Michael) Torpey; and uncle of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn C. and Carman A. (nee Leonard) Davis.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), in Mentor, with a Celebration of Life at 4 p.m. Burial will be private.
