Obituary for Frances Jean McCord

"Together Again"
Frances Jean (nee Peters) McCord, 84, of Mentor, passed away Jan. 29, 2023, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
She was born March 9, 1938, to Jane and Joseph Peters.
Fran married Glynn McCord in 1958. Fran and Glynn had three children, Sheila, Glynn Jr., and Tracey.
After retiring, Fran and Glynn moved to Willoughby and their beloved Wood Street home. A Frank Lloyd Wright design, Fran and Glynn lovingly decorated and remodeled the home creating an environment worthy of the Architectural Digest. Wood Street served as the backdrop to many family events and get-togethers including their annual family Christmas Eve.
Fran worked as a CPA at various companies over the years. She enjoyed her many passions including traveling with Glynn to all 50 states, Ireland and even taking the Queen Mary across the Atlantic. Her true passion though was writing, and she shared many unpublished works with her family including her two novels Cinderella Sucks and Happily Ever After (Almost). Fran was the core of her extended family and always provided them with a laugh when needed most. Especially when taking the traditional family Christmas photo.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Glynn; and her parents.
Fran is survived by her son, Glynn; two daughters, Sheila (William) Manning and Tracey (Charles) Deutsch; grandchildren, Keith (Michelle) Choate, Greg (Hope) Manning, Amanda Manning, Daniel Manning, Ashley McCord, Tyler McCord, Mitchell (Andrew) Cooper, Allison Cooper and Chaz Deutsch; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
