Obituary for Evelyn G "Evie" Adams
Evelyn G. “Evie” (nee Betts) Adams, 92, of Cleveland Heights, passed away Monday, Nov. 9, 2020, at her niece’s home in Linesville, Pa.
Born July 21, 1928, in St. Louis, Mo., she had lived in St. Louis before moving to Cleveland Heights 20 years ago.
Evie was a member of the Irish American Club-East Side Inc., in Euclid, V.F.W. Post 7482 in Linesville, Pa., and the Pymatuning Sportsman’s Club. She loved life, was a special caregiver and loved children, especially all of her nieces and nephews.
Evie was the special aunt of Mary (Michael, dec.) Johnson, Patrick J. Keenan, Thomas E. (Marty) Keenan, Theresa K. (David) Male, Michael J. (Peggy) Keenan, and Kevin J. Keenan; great- aunt of Aran, Beckie, Kevin A., Shana J., Christopher L., Meagan M., Joseph G., Riley T. and Daniel; and great-great-aunt of Elizabeth, Addison, Michael, Megan and Katie.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husbands, Michael Moore and Paul Adams; parents, Charles A. and Garnett E. (nee Tucker) Betts; and sister-in-law, Mae (nee Moore) Keenan.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby, with a Celebration of Life to be held at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be private.
The family suggests contributions in her name be made to Hospice of Crawford County, 766 Liberty St., Meadville, PA 16335.
