Funeral Mass for Emil R. Hoffert, 80, of Willoughby, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 1, at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. (Family and friends are asked to meet at church.) Fr. Dennis McNeill will officiate the Mass.
Emil passed away Monday, April 26, 2021, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
He was born June 10, 1940, in Cleveland.
Emil was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby. He enjoyed coaching Little League Baseball, golf, and was a very giving and charitable person who donated to various causes.
He was the loving father of Richard A. Hoffert, Michael A. Hoffert and Kenneth A. Hoffert; dear brother of Rosemary (Richard) Habek; and uncle of nieces and nephews.
Emil was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Caroline M. (nee Perry) Hoffert; cherished granddaughter, Sofia Hoffert; and parents, Emil and Rose (nee Kofol) Hoffert.
Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44114.
