Obituary for Elvin A "Roosty" Sullivan

Elvin A. “Roosty” Sullivan, 75, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., passed away May 4, 2021, at his residence in Willoughby.
Born May 29, 1945, in Saffell, Ark., he had been a resident of Lake County for 70 years.
Roosty worked 31 years as the owner/operator truck driver as R.T.J. Trucking Inc., for Fairport Trucking Company.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era from 1963-1965 as part of the 1st Cavalry, 11th Air Assault Division. Roosty was also an avid golfer and loved all animals, especially his Yorkies, Molly and Scruffy, who have previously passed.
Survivors are his former wife and caretaker, Deborah K. Johnson of Willoughby; daughter, Andrea (Lou) Sullivan-Spencer of Mentor; sons, Jeremy (Beth) Sullivan of Painesville and Tracy (Karen) Sullivan of Rosenberg, Texas; estranged son, Russell Sullivan of Lakeline; grandchildren, Madison, Avery, Wyatt and Emmett; siblings, Ernest Sullivan of Cleveland, Elton Sullivan of Mentor, Dale (Gloria) Sullivan of Kirtland, Vicki (Marty) Burkhart of Willoughby Hills, Brenda Sullivan (Alice Thompson) of Bedford, Linda Sullivan (Allison Finney) of Eastlake, Robin Sullivan (Dreama “Jesse” Reuben) of Eastlake; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Vernal (nee Adams) Sullivan.
There will be no services. In keeping with Mr. Sullivan’s wishes, he was cremated and his ashes will be spread in Ireland.
