Obituary for Eleanor V Wardeiner
Eleanor V. Wardeiner, 91, of Perry, passed away Friday, Feb. 26, 2021, at Lake Health West Medical Center in Willoughby.
She was born March 31, 1929, in Cleveland.
Eleanor loved children and had worked at Lincoln Elementary School Library for 18 years. She was a Eucharistic Minister and member of the Ladies Guild of St. Cyprian Church in Perry. Eleanor belonged to the Christ Child Society of the Western Reserve and was also a member of St. Bede the Venerable Church in Mentor.
She was the loving mother of Terri King, Michael (Peg) Wardeiner, Laura (Paul) Dorsey, and Mark (Nada) Wardeiner; cherished grandmother of Chris, Sarah, Matt, Rachel, Ben, Lauren, Michael, Katie, Danielle, Alan, Andrea and Danny; great-grandmother of Delta, Evelyn, Rowan, Daphne, Iris, Stafford and Callie; and sister of Jean Plavac and Rose Marie Buckantz.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Richard “Dick” Wardeiner; daughter, Lisa Wardeiner; parents, Marko and Kate (nee Slobodnjak) Kadija; and sister, Catherine Rodholm.
Per Mom’s wishes, her funeral Mass and entombment will be private. Services, however, will be streamed live on the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home Facebook page at 11 AM Saturday, March 6.
There will be a celebration of life for family and friends at a later date.
