Funeral Mass for Eleanor M. (nee Gredence) Skedel, 95, of Willowick, will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 32114 Vine St., Willowick. Fr. Steve Breck will officiate. (Family and friends are asked to meet at church.)
Eleanor passed away Saturday, May 15, 2021, at Heartland of Willoughby.
Born May 14, 1926, in Cleveland, she had lived in Euclid before moving to Lake County 43 years ago.
Eleanor was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Church, enjoyed crocheting and cooking and loved listening to opera.
She was the loving mother of Elaine C. (Rod) Irwin, Marie A. Skedel, Daniel F. Skedel, Henry Skedel, Therese (David) Smith and Andrew L. (Jennifer) Skedel; cherished grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother of 65; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry F. Skedel in 1977; parents, Frank A. and Mary G. (nee Dular) Gredence; and siblings, Gerri (Bob, dec.) Yarshen and Frank “Speedy” (Carol, dec.) Gredence.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be private.
