Obituary for Donald M Ference

Donald M. Ference, 66, of Mentor, passed away Sunday, Oct. 25, 2020, at University Hospital in Cleveland.
Born Aug. 11, 1954, in Steubenville, he had lived in Follansbee, W.Va., before moving to Mentor seven years ago.
He was a member of the Lion’s Club in Follansbee, W.Va., and was involved in theater presentations, plays and shows. Donald was a true thespian and enjoyed singing. He was a model builder of planes and cars, enjoying competitions and competing against other model builders.
Mr. Ference was a retired steelworker, working at Weirton Steel and Arcelor Mittal, USA with 38 years of service.
Donald was the loving husband of Linda L. (nee Wallace) Ference; stepfather of Kelly (Christopher) Taglieri, Kathy (Mark) Thompson, and Kammy (Rusty) Shields; cherished grandfather of Taylor, Alyssa, Brianna, Riley, Emily, Jonathan, and Anthony; brother of Robert Ference and Betty June (Lee) Thompson; and uncle of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Betty June (nee Elson) Ference.
A memorial gathering will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2020, followed by a 2 p.m. service at Hooverson Heights Church of Christ in Follansbee, W.Va.
