Memorial services for Dolores L. (Barker) Shoemaker, 69, of Chardon, will be 7:30 p.m. Friday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St., (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor. Mrs. Shoemaker passed away Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011, at Chardon Health Care Center in Chardon. Born Dec. 22, 1941, in Cleveland, she had been a Chardon resident for the past 38 years. Dolores loved her family and enjoyed being a mom and grandma. In her leisure time, she enjoyed arts and crafts. She was the beloved wife of Ronald M. Shoemaker; loving mother of Deneen A. Ringler of Conneaut and Robin A. Shoemaker of Indianapolis, Ind.; cherished grandmother of James, Stephanie and Ronnie Ringler; great-grandmother of Tyler Camenski; and aunt of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clinton and Anne (Powers) Barker; and siblings, James Barker, Cheryl Briggs, Leo Barker, Patricia Campbell, Earl Barker and Robert Barker. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
