Obituary for Debra A Scarcelli

Funeral Mass for Debra A. (nee Drumm) Scarcelli, 66, of Mentor, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary of the Assumption, 8560 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Father Tom Elsasser will officiate. (Family and friends are to meet at church.)
Debra passed away Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022, at Grand River Health and Rehab in Painesville.
Born Dec. 20, 1955, in Pittsburgh, Pa., she had been a resident of Lake County for 53 years.
Debra was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Mentor and enjoyed going on trips to B&Bs with her husband in the Midwest, antiquing and writing.
She was an L.P.N., working for many years at Homestead #2 Nursing Facility in Painesville. Debra experienced many challenges in her life and demonstrated exceptional strength in dealing with those obstacles. Above all else, she was a truly devoted caregiver to her husband, Joseph.
Debra was the beloved wife of 39 years to Joseph Scarcelli; dear sister of Sharon L. Drumm, Suzanne M. (Ward) Foxhall and Kathy A. (Jerry) Krause; and aunt of several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her dearest son, Jason Michael Scarcelli in 1996; and parents, John W. and Dolores J. (nee Matway) Drumm.
Private viewing for family and friends will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), in Mentor. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
