Obituary for Clint A Simons

Funeral services for Clint Aaron Simons, 42, of Eastlake, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2022, at First Baptist Church of Willowick, 31433 Vine St., Willowick. (Family and friends are asked to meet at church.)
He passed away Monday, July 18, 2022, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
Born Sept. 5, 1979, in Cleveland, he had lived the majority of his life in Lake County.
Clint gave 150% to every job he ever worked. Starting with graduating Magna cum laude from Cleveland State University in 2001, and as a Golden Key National Honor Society member. He was part of the Disney College Program for his internship. Clint was employed by the Lake County YMCA, where he was promoted during his 15 years to Executive Director of the Willoughby Branch. From there, he worked at Ohio Ordnance Works Inc. of Chardon Ohio. Most recently, he was part of the Mayfield City Schools as their Wildcat Sport and Fitness site supervisor.
Clint was a member of the Willoughby Rotary Club, where he had served as a former treasurer, member of the Class of 2017 Leadership of Lake County, President of the Mentor Marsh Beach Club, and was also a member of First Baptist Church of Willowick, where he had served as a Deacon and as an AWANA leader. In his youth, he was part of 4-H as both a member and an officer. A lifelong adventurer, he enjoyed scuba, boating, water skiing and snow skiing. He was a roller coaster enthusiast, liked building and riding bicycles, enjoyed building and racing Traxxas RC cars with his sons and was a true handyman, and even rebuilt two houses for his family to reside in.
Clint was the beloved husband of 19 years to his high school sweetheart, Amie M. (nee Valentine) Simons; loving father of Bret Harrison Simons, Travis Robert Simons and Sawyer Matthew Simons; son of Darrel and Sandra (nee Pacholke) Simons; dear brother of Faith (Bill) Blankschaen, Kara (Levi) Ali and Jill (Mike) Saefkow; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his dearest son, Cody David Simons.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. An additional visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the church. Burial will be private.
