Obituary for Carole T Mengay

Carole T. (nee Ball) Mengay, 90, of Willowick, passed away Nov. 22, 2020, at Lake Health West Medical Center in Willoughby.
Born June 24, 1930, in Cleveland, she had lived in East Cleveland before moving to Willowick more than 62 years ago.
Carole was a former Girl Scout leader, a Christian Family Movement participant, Principal of PSR, and owner of the Olive Branch. She had a distinguished career as an executive assistant at St. Mary Magdalene, Villa Angela Academy and Financial Planning Resources. Carole had a devotion to Mary and her daily prayers, and was an expert card player, but most of all, she was devoted to being a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was the loving mother of Susan Mengay, Donald Mengay (husband, Channing Sanchez), and Linda (husband, Chris) Warren; cherished grandmother of Sarah (Hudecek ) (husband, Ryan) Ryzner, Michael (wife, Rocio Surovec) Hudecek, Jessica (Warren) (husband, Shishir) Gupta, Josh Lowe, Roger Lowe and Rob Lowe; great-grandmother of Nikhil Gupta, Mary Ryzner, Henry Ryzner, John Ryzner, Porter Hudecek and Wallis Hudecek; and dear sister of Sonya (nee Ball) Zaccaria, Edward Ball, Norma (nee Ball) Tillett, Rosemary (nee Ball) Masito and Kay (nee Ball) Hughes.
Carole was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald; and parents, Edward and Florence (nee Gillespie) Ball.
Private family services were held. Burial was in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a memorial service will be planned in 2021.
The family suggests contributions in memory of Carole be made to the Cleveland Food Bank, 15500 S. Waterloo Road, Cleveland, OH 44110.
