Obituary for Carol Brooks
Carol (nee Voelker) Brooks, 60, of Wickliffe, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022, at her home.
Born June 29, 1962, in Cleveland, she had been a lifetime resident of Lake County, living in Willoughby, Mentor and Concord Township before moving to Wickliffe.
Carol’s favorite thing was spending time with her family. She also enjoyed time socializing with friends and having a good fun.
She had worked as an assistant controller at Royal American Management in Euclid.
Carol was the beloved wife of Robert; loving mother of Robert Brooks of Wickliffe and Jennifer (Jesse) Mausolf of Mentor; cherished grandmother of MacKenzie and Vincent Mausolf; dear sister of Karen (Pete) Brooks of Mentor; sister-in-law of Richard (Brenda) Brooks of Madison, Leslie Brooks and Kimberly (C.J.) Land; and aunt of many nieces and nephews. She also leaves her close and very dear friends, Yvonne Shockley and Leslie Raskin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jay and Dolores Voelker; brothers, Jeff and Gary Voelker; nephew, Brian Voelker; and in-laws, Richard and Jean Brooks.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38001 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby, with a Celebration of Life Service at 2:30 p.m.
