Obituary for Carleen Susan Stanke

Funeral Mass for Carleen Susan (nee Dinallo) Stanke, 81, of Concord Township, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020, at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 175 E. 200th St., Euclid.
Carleen passed away Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020, at UH Geauga Hospital in Chardon.
Born July 19, 1939, in Cleveland, she had lived in Euclid for more than 50 years before moving to Lake County three years ago.
Carleen loved shopping with her sister and had enough jewelry to sink a battleship. She was also an avid rock painter during quarantine, lived for her grandchildren, and loved to garden and go to the Beach Club. Carleen’s favorite holiday was Halloween and enjoyed giving out her special bags of treats.
She was the loving mother of Kathleen M. (Shannon) Taylor of Painesville Township and Frank C. (Cheryl) Stanke of Willoughby; cherished grandmother of Ashli (Jake), Anna (Eddy), Rebecca and Jessica; great-grandmother of Violet; dear sister of Alice Jean Chant; and special aunt to many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the ICU staff of UH Geauga Medical Center for the loving care and respect shown to Carleen and family. And also special thank you to our family member Chrissy Dinallo Morris for being there to comfort Carleen when her family could not be there with her.
Carleen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul Stanke; and parents, Frank and Susan (nee Hudak) Dinallo, and Virginia (nee Bertino) Dinallo.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), in Mentor. Burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name may be made to Asa’s Angels, 2709 North Ridge Road, Painesville, OH 44077.
