Obituary for Bernice A Jones
Bernice A. (nee Sumey) Jones, 86, of Willoughby Hills, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021, at Heartland of Willoughby.
Born Sept. 11, 1934, in Uniontown, Pa., she had been a resident of Lake County for 66 years, living in Wickliffe before moving to Willoughby Hills in 1985.
Bernice was a member of the Willoughby Hills United Methodist Church and the Willoughby Community Center. She enjoyed socializing and loved spending time with family and friends.
She had worked as an administrative assistant at Lubrizol in Wickliffe, and as a sales representative for American Greetings.
Bernice was the loving mother of Randy (Janet) Jones and Bonnie (David) Pollizi; cherished grandmother of Vicky (Salvatore) Continenza and Jackie (Lee) Wagner; sister of Herbert (Carol) Sumey and Shirley (Terry) Blough; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Blaine W. Jones in 2013; grandson, Brian Borac; parents, Lewis and Frances (nee Jenkins) Sumey; and sister, Sandy (Gary, dec.) Baer.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby, with a Celebration of Life service at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be private.
